Public 18-hole course atop Devils Knob mountain at Wintergreen Resort, the highest golf course in Virginia at roughly 3,850 feet elevation. Designed by Ellis Maples and Dan Maples (opened 1976) and renovated by John LaFoy in 2003-04, it plays to a par of 70 at 6,712 yards from the back tees, with narrow tree-lined fairways and severe elevation change.
