A nine-hole links-style course on Mackinac Island, laid out by Scottish-born designer Alex Smith in 1898 on the site of the 1814 Battle of Mackinac Island. Considered the oldest continuously played golf course in Michigan, it retains a largely treeless links character with long rough, playing to 2,999 yards at par 36. Operated as a 501(c)(3) public charity open to the public.
