Oakwoods Country Club is a private club in the Wilkesboro foothills whose original 9 holes were laid out by Arthur Hamm in 1954, with Ellis Maples adding a second 9 by the early 1960s to complete the 18-hole, par-72 layout. Tom Jackson reworked the course in 1971, and Kris Spence restored it in 2000-2001. The club includes a pro shop and the Oakwoods Grille restaurant.
