The Lakes Course is one of three nine-hole courses (with Foothills and Mountain) that make up the private, Jack Nicklaus-designed Governors Club community course in Chapel Hill. Lakes, which opened in 1990, is the flattest and most walkable of the three nines, with ponds and lakes worked into a park-like setting.
