Foxburg Country Club, founded in 1887, is recognized as the oldest continuously operated golf course in the United States. The semi-private course in Foxburg, PA sits on a hill above the Allegheny River and is generally described as a 9-hole course (about 2,514 yards, par 34), though it is also played as an 18-hole round using two sets of tees. The club's 1912 log clubhouse houses the American Golf Hall of Fame, and the property was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.
