Elk River Club is a private, member-owned 18-hole golf course in Banner Elk designed by Jack Nicklaus — his first Signature Golf Course in North Carolina — opening in 1984. The 6,755-yard, par-72 layout is set among mountain streams and lakes with long-range views of Beech Mountain, Sugar Mountain, and Grandfather Mountain. Membership is by invitation only.
