Countryside Golf Club operates two 18-hole layouts on one property: the Traditional Course, built in 1927 and designed by Michael J. Benkusky with narrow, tree-lined fairways, and the Prairie Course, added in the 1990s with wide fairways through native prairie grasses. The club is owned by the Lake County Forest Preserves and holds Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary certification.
